Troubleshooting tune issues and decided to try the self test, it only passed when I connected both grounds to battery and power to battery. Does that mean it’s good to go or what??
If it works when directly connecting to the battery then the unit is working and your wiring is the issue.
That’s interesting. Literally 2 feet of wire to chassis ground, another to engine ground, signal and a power wire. Any harm in leaving it connected directly to the battery for extended testing?
