Spartan 3 Shows 0 Lambda Sporadically

Hi,

I’m having an issue with my Spartan 3 (FW 1.04). It is connected to a Link G4X using the CAN bus output. I’ve used it for about a year with Perf 1 and no issues. Recently I decided to try Perf 0 to see if I could get smoother closed-loop control and saw it started reporting 0 Lambda at somewhat random spots, but they later seem to correlate with sensor temperatures decreasing sharply under 730C. The sensor temperature stays constant around 780C with Perf 1. Is this a known issue with FW 1.04 and worth upgrading for a fix?

I just released firmware 1.09 which improves heater control in performance mode 0, https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0189/1312/files/Spartan_3_Firmware_1_09.zip?v=1708757024

Thank you. I haven’t had a chance to work on my car, but someone else in the Link forums had the same issue and upgrading the firmware fixed it for them. I’ll try this weekend.

Unfortunately the issue is still there for me. The controller works fine during driving now, but it consistently shows 0 Lambda after overrun fuel cuts. I’m happy to send a log if it would help, but here is a screenshot of one of the events:

Can you try Performance mode 1, send “SETPERF1” via USB-serial.

Sorry for the delay, we got a snow storm the past few days. Perf1 is now showing the same issue in FW1.09. This wasn’t the case in FW1.04
