So I tried to upgrade the firmware on a Spartan 3 Lite which was on version 1.0 to version 1.09 however this looks to have failed and bricked the unit. I was using a standard 5v FTDI adapter and had verified that this was talking to the unit with the GETHW command first.
I disconnected the heater ground wire, got the green LED and attempted the flash but then received wrong message twice before many instances of Write error before it stopped. Have tried flashing again but now it just stays at Attempting to connect
Is there any method of recovering this? I’m (usually) reasonably comfortable with flashing micros and have a Segger unit, but not sure if that’s helpful on these boards.
